Ideate’s Portland, Oregon office was named to the Autodesk® Authorized Training Center (ATC®) network on June 2, 2006. The newly certified center will provide services and training to Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) customers, focusing on Autodesk® Revit® as the software platform of the future with its integrated usage of Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Meet Ishtmeet Singh – Ideate AEC Solutions Application Specialist
Ishtmeet Singh holds a Masters of Science degree (Informatics and Architecture) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has over 4 years of experience in the Architecture and Construction industry. He is a Registered Architect in India and is currently pursuing registration in the United States. Ishtmeet has worked as a Project Manager, Architectural Designer, and CAD administrator for Architectural firms in the Boston area, handling various phases of design and construction. His work as an Application Engineer includes providing CAD implementation, consulting, and training services to AEC firms of various sizes. Ishtmeet has extensive experience with Architectural Desktop, AutoCAD, and Revit and is an Autodesk Certified Expert for Architectural Desktop 2006.

Autodesk Launches Architecture Customer Advisory Councils
Autodesk is launching two online customer councils for its flagship architectural software solutions, Autodesk® Architectural Desktop and Autodesk® Revit® Building. The new online customer advisory panels will help Autodesk better understand and respond to the changing needs of its customers in the architecture industry.

Autodesk invites its Channel Partners to join these councils to serve as a collective voice for their customers. The Channel Partners are also requested to promote the councils to their customers.

Customers who join the councils will have direct communication with the product development teams and the ability to provide product feedback earlier in the development cycle, which will further the goal of creating software and tools of the highest quality and relevance for customers. Autodesk initiated a Beta test of the Autodesk Architectural Desktop Customer Council in 2005 to gauge initial customer engagement, and over 600 customers worldwide joined to participate in surveys on data management, product planning, visualization, and annotation.
