Ideate, Inc. Makes Their Mark on AU 2006

With a number of speakers and an invitation to participate as a Gold Co-Host Sponsor, Ideate had a prominent presence at this year’s 14th Annual Autodesk University in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A nod to our broad expertise and advanced technical knowledge, Ideate was honored with four invitations to present at AU2006.  Ideate’s sessions were well-received and two classes have earned three and four star ratings. Recorded class sessions may be viewed here. Please be sure to look for the following class sessions:

Ken Hall AIA, AEC Business Development Manager
"Designing Sustainable Building Solutions with Autodesk Revit"

Scott Wagner, PE,  Civil Business Development Manager
"Under the Surface - Creating Accurate Surfaces in Civil 3D"

Jason Hill,  Geospatial Business Development Manager
"Bridging the GIS and CAD Gap by Connecting Directly to ArcSDE"

Sandeep Menon, Director Infrastructure Solutions
“Managing Utility Infrastructure Data in Both a CAD and GIS Environment"

In addition to providing technical speakers, Ideate was pleased to facilitate a presentation by one of our premier customers, Williams-Sonoma, Inc.  Bradley Bransen, Engineer Manager for Emerging Brands, shared his success story with fellow AU attendees on the many benefits of Inventor and Vault manufacturing solutions.

Ideate was also particularly proud to be among a select group of resellers invited to participate as a Gold Co-Host sponsor. In this capacity, Ideate offered an informational booth throughout the week as well as entertained clients at an exclusive luncheon reception with Autodesk’s Senior Vice President, Ken Bado. Ideate thanks those who stopped by our booth and/or attended our luncheon. We were so delighted to have you with us and deeply appreciate your ongoing support.

Missed us this year?  Come see us next year!
AU will be returning to The Venetian Resort in 2007. Plan now to attend the 15th Annual Autodesk University from November 27th to November 30th in Las Vegas! Registration will open this summer.

Revit User Group: Autodesk® Revit API Programming – Exploring the Building Information Model
Come explore the world of Autodesk® Revit programming with Ben Bishoff, software engineer with Ideate. You’ve heard that Revit has an application programming interface (API), but want to know more - what’s possible and what’s involved in getting started. We’ll explore the resources Autodesk provides with the Revit software development kit (SDK) and what it means to write programs with Microsoft .NET languages. We’ll also survey the tools other commercial software developers have created to extend Revit and interact with other building information modeling (BIM) applications. Come with your questions and ideas.
