Revit User Groups: Green Building Information Modeling with Revit
The emergence of two driving forces -Green Building and Revit Information Modeling- foreshadow immense opportunities in the AEC industry. Come explore the intersection of these driving forces with Ken Hall, an Architect and Certified Sustainable Building Advisor with Ideate. We will examine current capabilities in Revit that can help us design more sustainable buildings and document LEED credits. We will also survey efficient options to capture building geometry in energy modeling tools and review new technology that will soon expand these options. Come with your questions and ideas about how we can reinvent the way we design, document, and build Green Buildings.

Ken is a licensed Architect with over two decades of AEC industry experience in information modeling and environmental design. He pioneered the application of early building modeling systems and designed his first passive solar home in 1980. Additionally, he developed one of the first web-based systems for AEC collaboration and most recently led change as the CIO of a large multi-office design firm.

Autodesk Architectural Desktop: Ask Amy Webcast Series – Create Between the Lines

Date: Tuesday, February 27

Time: 10:00am – 11:00am PT

Autodesk Architectural Desktop is designed specifically for architects and drafters. With AutoCAD functionality and new tools for automating architectural drawings and designs, the result is faster production, increased accuracy, and seamless coordination.

Join Autodesk Technical Specialist, Amy Fietkau, and learn how to easily create different objects – such as curtain walls, door and window assemblies, walls, and stairs – using the Linework tool.

In first part of this webcast, you’ll learn everything you need to know about Linework. The second part of the webcast will consist of a Q&A session – so you can ask Amy exactly how it works.
