2008 Software Releases
Did you know that the 2008 software versions are almost here? Autodesk helps customers experience their ideas before they are real by providing state-of-the-art 2D and 3D design software to visualize, simulate, and analyze the real-world performance of their design early in the design process. This gives our customers the flexibility to optimize and improve their designs before they actually create anything, helping to save time and money, improve quality, and foster innovation.
Thank you!
We are pleased to extend a big thank you to our Structural Engineering clients investing in Autodesk® Revit® Structure. Ideate, Inc. was awarded a prestigious “Platinum Club” Award from Autodesk for demonstrating the highest level of percentage growth with Autodesk Revit Structure software sales. Ideate President Bob Palioca accepted the award earlier this month at the annual Autodesk ‘One Team Conference’ of worldwide resellers.
Award-winning Account Manager
Special congratulations to Ideate’s Vince Dattoli, AEC Account Manager for Northern California. Vince was given a “Salesperson-of-the-Year” award by Autodesk’s AEC Division – also at this month’s One Team Conference. The award references growth, customer service, and outstanding performance from a reseller sales representative. Ideate is pleased to have Vince Dattoli on our team.

Autodesk University 2007: If You Like to Teach, the Time Is Now
The 15th annual Autodesk University (AU) is coming up in November, and if you’d like to teach a course, the time is now to submit your ideas.
The deadline for proposals is April 30, 2007.
Autodesk University 2007 will return to the remarkable Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 27–30. If you’ve ever attended AU, you know that this annual event is Autodesk’s largest product-user conference, with hundreds of classes and labs taught by top-notch instructors and industry professionals. We expect this year to have the largest turnout yet, with more than 8,000 attendees and over 500 sessions.
And that is where you come in.
Share Your Expertise with Like-Minded Professionals
Our goal is to consistently improve the value attendees get out of Autodesk University. In fact, many professionals return to AU each year because the high-quality classes and large number of knowledgeable instructors are some of the best to be found anywhere.
So what curriculum are we hoping to see at AU 2007?
- More advanced courses. Many attendees have extensive experience with Autodesk® products and are looking for in-depth classes that will not only capture their attention, but will also examine the product in detail and teach them new and efficient ways to use their Autodesk software.
- Business management solutions. Attendees come to AU eager for new ideas in business management. Topics for a well-attended class could include ways to improve company work flow, collaboration, and overall efficiency; strategies for adopting and implementing new technologies; and methods for improving concept-to-completion cycles.
- Product specifics. One of the reasons attendees enjoy AU is because they get four days of topic-specific training they can’t get anywhere else. We’d like to keep that trend going by offering courses that help users improve their proficiency with Autodesk software.
- Tips & Tricks. The ever-popular “Tips & Tricks” classes—with solid background material—are always in high demand.
Request for Proposals Website
To learn more about what we are looking for in each industry track, please visit Request for Proposals website where you can also submit your proposal and get information on speaker benefits and deadlines. If you’d like to research the classes and content offered at Autodesk University last year, visit AU Online. At AU Online, you'll find class handouts, datasets, and presentations, including screencasts of about 200 sessions presented at AU 2006, as well as other resources to help you develop your proposal.
And don’t forget: The deadline for proposals is April 30, 2007.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Best regards,
Joseph Wurcher
