MapGuide Enterprise 2009 – Out of the Box!
Friday, July 25, 12–1pm PT
Many state and local government agencies as well as larger engineering firms have been using Autodesk MapGuide® for years to publish geospatial and engineering data over the web for better decision making. Much of the time and expense in developing such applications involves contracting out to third party application programming consultants. However, with the release of MapGuide Enterprise 2009, developing and publishing web-based GIS applications right off the shelf without investing in third party programmers has never been easier. In this webcast, we’ll take a look at creating visually appealing, easy-to-use web layouts with the new flexible web layouts feature, in addition to using drag-and-drop web application widgets for buffering, searching, and reporting all right out-of-the-box!

A Case Study of Roseville, CA – Managing Local Government Environmental Utilities in CAD and GIS
Friday, August 15, 12–1pm PT
Facing the challenge of a rapidly growing population, the City of Roseville has had to expand its water, electrical, sewage, recreational, police, and fire protection services. For the City’s Environmental Utilities Department, the challenge was to maintain updated maps and be able to forecast maintenance for 1,500 miles of combined pipeline for water, wastewater, storm water, and recycled water, with just four full-time employees. In this seminar we will examine the challenges associated with widespread urbanization and the resulting decisions made by the City to better manage their infrastructure data.
