New Autodesk Inventor Podcast Available!
Message from Autodesk Manufacturing Team

Not only can you read about Inventor related items on our In the Machine blog, but now you can listen as well. We’ve just introduced our first official Inventor podcast.

What is a podcast? Quite simply it is a fairly new method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs or music videos, over the Internet. Podcasts can be created by anyone and can span any topic. To listen to a podcast, you can manually download media files or use an aggregator (like iTunes or ipodder) to get automatic downloads.

Why an Inventor Podcast? Two reasons. We thought it would be fun to try and we thought it would be a great way to get a little closer to our customers and do some community building.

What topics are covered? Garin Gardiner, Inventor Tech Marketing Guru, is our podcaster and he talks about various CAD news, events, and offers a few Inventor tips.

How often will there be a new Podcast? We are planning about once a month. In future podcasts we plan to have interviews with various Autodeskers and maybe even some users. We welcome any and all ideas for getting the most out of this communication vehicle.

How do I access the Podcast? Simply download the file from the link below. It will play in Windows Media Player, on your iPod or on any other MP3 player.

Leverage Inventor 2008 Sketch Tools
In today’s market, tight deadlines and strong competition have forced designers to be as efficient and productive as possible. To meet the increased demands, designers are turning to 3D modeling.

3D design is all about efficiency. It’s fostered by design reuse, preserving design intent, and managing geometric relationships effectively. By leveraging the new sketch tools in Inventor 2008, designers can address challenges head on and organizations can gain a fast return on investment along with a competitive edge.

Download this helpful PDF to learn how to leverage Inventor 2008 and make it easier and more effective to reuse design data, convey design intent, and manage relationships between 2D sketch objects.
