VE-Toolkits
Guiding you in the most ‘green’ direction
VE-Toolkits are ideal for use at the very early stages of the design process as they give quick sustainability feedback at the click of a few buttons.
The range of different Toolkits means that you can easily and quickly look at energy, carbon, daylight, solar, heating and cooling loads, as well as the impact on local green rating credits. Importantly this is the only implementation to take into account the affect of solar/light penetration on energy and carbon, which allows you to understand better how light pipes, atria and internal/external solar shading devices affect the performance of your building.
Sustainability Toolkit – Version 2 available now (Energy, Carbon and 2030 Challenge Assessment, ASHRAE/CIBSE Loads Calculations, Daylight Assessments, Solar Shading Animations)
LEED Toolkit – Version 2 available now (LEED NC 2.2 Daylighting Credit 8.1 consideration)
BREEAM Toolkit – Version 1 available end 2008
Greenstar Toolkit – Version 1 available end 2008
The new and enhanced report format presents results in an interactive manner – allowing you to filter and highlight results based on different thresholds. Also included is a simulation comparison and history so you can easily tell if you are heading in the most green direction, while guidance on best practice and options to consider is also offered
VE-Ware linked to
Google SketchUp & Revit
An updated version of IES VE-Ware is now available to download - it includes both Revit and SketchUp connectivity.
VE-Ware is a FREE building energy and carbon assessment software that can make a real difference to the green credentials of a building, as well as benchmark it against the Architecture 2030 Challenge. It is suitable for all building types across worldwide locations, and can be set to either Imperial or Metric units.
