This live virtual course goes beyond the basic functions in AutoCAD to enhance one’s skills and productivity.

Recommended as a continuation to Ideate’s 3 day Fundamentals training, this course builds on core concepts by introducing more sophisticated tools and techniques. Learn keyboard shortcuts, essential workspace customization and editing functions, as well as the basics of attaching external references, and creating text/dimension/multileader styles.

AutoCAD Beyond the Basics (Online)
  • A thorough understanding of all concepts taught in Ideate’s AutoCAD Fundamentals course
  • Knowledge of basic design/drafting concepts, procedures, and terminology
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system
  • In order to participate in the course, students must meet all Online Education Guidelines.

Note: This training course is not designed for users of the AutoCAD for Mac software.

Objective: This class will increase the efficiency of designers, drafters, modelers, and engineers by enhancing their knowledge of AutoCAD tools and providing them with best practices, tips, and techniques. To ensure confidence in your new skills, we extend your training with 90 days of free follow-up support on all class material. 

This training course will be conducted over 3 (4 hour) virtual sessions. Sessions are generally scheduled over consecutive days, from 9am-1pm (PST). Please note that times are noted in Pacific Standard Time.

Location: Online

Course will be presented in a virtual classroom. Students must have access to the class version of the software and meet noted system requirements.
