One of the improvements in Revit 2016 is the enhancement of the Rotate Project North tool.

In previous versions of Revit, the Rotate Project North tool worked primarily for model elements. The tool did not allow for the rotation of view-specific detail elements.

The enhanced Rotate Project North tool in Revit 2016 now allows not only model elements to be rotated along with the project north, but view-specific detail elements as well. These include detail lines, filled regions, text notes, revision clouds, callouts and more. Please note however, that the improved tool is still only enabled for plan views whose orientation in the properties palette has been set to “Project North.”
