CIVIL 3D FUNDAMENTALS

In April 2018, Ideate merged its Autodesk businesses with IMAGINiT Technologies, resulting in one company offering many solutions to their combined customers. As a result of that combination, Ideate classes have been reformatted to align with the corresponding IMAGINiT classes. This class, which was a three-day class with Ideate, is now a four-day class.

This AutoCAD Civil 3D training course is designed for Civil Engineers and Surveyors who want to take advantage of the AutoCAD Civil 3D software's interactive, dynamic design functionality. The AutoCAD Civil 3D software permits the rapid development of alternatives through its model-based design tools. You will learn techniques enabling you to organize project data, work with points, create and analyze surfaces, model road corridors, create parcel layouts, perform grading and volume calculation tasks, and layout pipe networks.

PREREQUISITES COURSE LOGISTICS COURSE OUTLINE

Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD-based products (such as Autodesk Land Desktop) and a sound understanding and knowledge of civil engineering terminology.

Note: Course may satisfy your local continuing education engineering and surveying requirements. Check with your state board or provincial organization to verify your requirements.

 

Objective: This class will increase the productivity of civil engineers and technicians by teaching them how to leverage the interactive, dynamic design functionality of Civil 3D. To ensure confidence in your new skills, we extend classroom training with 90 days of free follow-up support on all class material. 

Scheduling: This training course will be conducted over four consecutive days. Class will run from 9am-5pm on each scheduled class day.

Location: This class is scheduled on rotation across multiple training centers. We will provide all systems and software required to participate in this course.
