Online Education Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a live class or a recording?

Our Online Education courses are live, instructor-led training classes taught via a virtual classroom. We use the Adobe Connect platform to ensure a high level of interactivity. The curriculum is a mixture of lecture and hands-on exercises with ample opportunity for questions.

What are the class hours?

Online Education classes are broken up into 4 hour virtual sessions spread out over the noted class dates. Most of our courses are scheduled from 9am-1pm (PST) on each scheduled day. Please note that you may need to adjust this timing based on your individual office location and time zone.

What is your cancellation policy?

Ideate + IMAGINiT training purchases are non-refundable although we are happy to reschedule reservations within the noted cancellation period: You may postpone your online class reservation and receive a credit towards future training by notifying us at least ten (10) business days before the first day of class. If you fail to inform us on time, you will forfeit your paid class tuition.

What equipment do I need to participate?

Students are responsible for meeting all technical requirements as outlined in our Online Education Guidelines. Students must have access to a computer, wired internet connection, and wired USB headset with microphone. Dual monitors are also strongly recommended.

Do I need my own license of the class software?

Students are required to have an active license of the class software installed prior to the start of class. Upon registration, students will receive a detailed confirmation noting the class version of the required software. Students can request a trial version of the software directly through Autodesk if needed for the duration of the class.

Do I need my own license of Adobe Connect?

Our Online Education courses are hosted via Adobe Connect, a leading web conferencing solution. Students do not need to have an individual license for the Adobe Connect program. However, prior to the class, students may need to install a few items on their personal systems to join the Adobe Connect training session.

Do your courses qualify for Continuing Education Credits?

Many courses qualify for professional development hours (PDHs) under AIA guidelines. Ideate does not report CEU credits to State licensing boards; students may self-report class participation but licensing requirements vary by state and our courses may not qualify.

What will I receive upon completion of this course?

After filling out a class survey, students will receive a certificate of course completion from Autodesk. Please note that this does NOT certify you in the product but rather serves as proof of class attendance. To receive a certificate of course completion, you must attend all sessions.
