Interactive online course focusing on Revit families geared toward MEP projects and designers. This specialized training class will enable current Revit users to expand their knowledge of custom MEP element types and families. Understand how families are created, edited and modified. The class also includes discipline-specific practices for families including Mechanical Equipment, Lighting Fixtures, Plumbing Fixtures, and basic annotation families.

Revit MEP Families (Online)
  • Knowledge of all concepts taught in Ideate‚Äôs Revit MEP Fundamentals courses
  • Knowledge of basic Revit techniques (i.e. creating standard elements, copying and moving elements, and creating and working with views, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and basic computer skills
  • In order to participate in this course, students must meet all Online Education Guidelines

Target Audience:

  • Autodesk Revit MEP users
  • Those tasked with creating or managing families in Revit

Objectives: This course will provide MEP designers with the knowledge and skills needed to create and manage families in Revit. To ensure confidence in your new skills, we extend your training with 90 days of free followup support on all class material. 

Scheduling: This training course will be conducted over 2 (4 hour) virtual sessions. Sessions are generally scheduled over 2 consecutive days, from 9am-1pm (PST). Please note that class times are noted in Pacific Standard Time.

Location: Online
Course will be presented in a virtual classroom using Adobe Connect. Students must have access to the class version of the software and meet noted system requirements.
